I made a little photo prop that can help you tell your Mom how much you love her! Scroll down for the tutorial and links to download it free for personal use… Here is the final product – you can pick your own colors… and if you aren't into taking photos you can just print and color it and make it into a card or even frame it for Mother's Day!
I'll show you the quick and easy steps to make this sign and at the bottom of the post you can download the image – First print out the black and white image and then get out your crayons, colored pencils or paint and have fun coloring it! (you can even color it digitally before you print it)
Then cut out the heart, lay it on a piece of cardboard, trace around it and cut the heart shape out of the cardboard. There is an option to print each half of the heart separately so that you can enlarge it more easily. If you did this, run tape along the back of the heart in the middle to attach the two sides before you trace it.
Then put adhesive on the cardboard. I like using double sided tape or photo squares because frankly glue can be a pain in the butt.
and Voila! you have a lovely photo prop to use to tell Mom how much you adore her! You can take polaroids and tape or glue them onto card-stock to make a photo card for Mom. Or you can take digital photos and upload them to sites like CafePress or Shutterfly where you can make cards, bags, books, pretty much anything you can think of to stick your message of love for Mom on! scroll down to download the image file…
The jpegs are an exact scan of my pen and ink drawing, the pdfs are vector images that you can enlarge indefinitely! You can download the entire heart in one file or each side of the heart separately if you want to print it larger… Remember – if photo props aren't your thing, you can also just print and color it to make a special Mother's day card or artwork!
